SafelyShare is in open beta while we prepare the first public release. Anyone can join, create real safes, and report problems. Everything below describes the beta version.

Where you can test SafelyShare

Use the iOS app, Android app, and web dashboard with the same account.

  • iOS through TestFlight

    Install Apple’s TestFlight app, then accept the SafelyShare invitation.

  • Android through Google Play open testing

    You join the test track from the normal Google Play listing and receive updates like any other app.

  • The web dashboard

    The dashboard on safelyshare.app works today. Create an account to extend your safes or manage your plan.

How to install

Store builds are being prepared. As soon as a track is live, the buttons at the top of this page open it directly.

What to test

These are the parts we most want you to test. Going through them in order takes about half an hour, plus the wait for a short extension period.

  1. Fill a safe with a few notes, photos, or documents.
  2. Hand it to a second phone over the same Wi-Fi network or via Bluetooth.
  3. Extend a safe from the app and from the dashboard.
  4. Choose a short extension period, skip the extension, and watch the safe open on the other phone.
  5. Try Pro: unlimited shared safes, your own extension period, and automatic extension.

How to report problems

Email support@safelyshare.app with what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. Include screenshots, your device model, and the app version if you can.

What data we collect

We collect only the account and safe data needed to run the service. Everything in your safe is locked on your phone and handed over straight to the other phone. Our servers never receive it. The beta builds contain no analytics or tracking.

After the beta

The full release follows the beta. We intend to carry accounts, safes, and plans over, but a beta reset may still be needed before launch. The apps then move from the test tracks to the normal App Store and Google Play listings.

Known limitations

  • Beta builds may be reset. Accounts, safes, and extensions created during the beta can be cleared before launch.
  • Always keep your own copies of important files elsewhere. Do not treat a beta safe as your only copy.
  • Store builds can lag behind the web dashboard while a review is pending.
