SafelyShare open beta
SafelyShare is in open beta while we prepare the first public release. Anyone can join, use the apps with real safes, and tell us what breaks. Everything on this page describes the beta only.
What the beta is
The beta covers three places where SafelyShare runs. You can use all three with the same account.
iOS through TestFlight
Apple’s beta distribution app. Install TestFlight first, then accept the SafelyShare invitation.
Android through Google Play open testing
You join the test track from the normal Google Play listing and receive updates like any other app.
The web dashboard
safelyshare.app works today: create an account, watch your timelocks, extend them, and manage your plan.
How to install
Store builds are being prepared. As soon as a track is live, the buttons at the top of this page open it directly.
What to test
These are the flows we most want covered. Working through them in order takes about half an hour, plus the wait for a short timelock.
- Create a safe with a few photos, documents, or notes.
- Transfer it to a second device over the same Wi-Fi network or via Bluetooth.
- Extend the timelock from the app and from the dashboard.
- Set a short interval and let one safe expire so the key is released.
- Try Pro: unlimited safes, custom intervals, and automatic extension.
How to report problems
Email support@safelyshare.app with what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. Screenshots, your device model, and the app version help a lot.
Report a problemWhat data we collect
Nothing beyond your account and your encrypted safes. Safe files are encrypted on your device and transferred directly to the other device; our servers never receive them. There is no analytics or tracking in the beta builds.
What is next
The full release follows the beta. The same accounts, safes, and plans carry over, and the apps move from the test tracks to the normal App Store and Google Play listings.
Known limitations
- Beta builds may be reset. Accounts, safes, and timelocks created during the beta can be cleared before launch.
- Always keep your own copies of important files elsewhere. Do not treat a beta safe as your only copy.
- Store builds can lag behind the web dashboard while a review is pending.
