Why SafelyShare exists
Almost everything that matters now lives behind a screen lock. The codes to our phones, the scanned documents, the notes only we can find, and the accounts nobody else knows about. That works until someone we trust needs those things and can’t reach them.
The usual answers are worse than the problem. A shared password is a permanent open door. A cloud folder means trusting a company with your most personal things. A sealed envelope in a drawer is only as good as the person who remembers it exists.
SafelyShare works differently. Put what they would need in one safe and hand it to one person you trust, phone to phone. It stays closed as long as you keep extending it. Like a digital notary, without the appointment.
Three rules
we do not compromise on.
Privacy first, no analytics or tracking
We only ask for what the service needs: an account, a safe’s settings, and your extensions. The beta apps contain no analytics or tracking.
The server never sees your files
Everything in your safe is locked on your phone and goes straight to the other phone. It is never uploaded, so we have no copy to read or lose.
You hold the key and the extensions
The key to your safe is end-to-end encrypted and SafelyShare cannot read it. You decide how often you extend it, and you can take back access while the safe is still closed.

I started SafelyShare after realising how much of what the people I love would need is locked inside my own phone. I wanted something I could set up once for them and then stop thinking about, without handing my files to a service that can read them. So the rule was simple from the first line of code: the server may help with the timing, but it never gets to see the contents. It is a small product, built carefully, and I would rather it be trusted than big.
Where we are
SafelyShare is in open beta. Anyone can join, create real safes, and tell us what breaks. The full release follows after the beta.
Beta builds may still be reset before launch, so keep your own copies of anything important.
