How SafelyShare works

From your device
to someone you trust.

Three clear steps. Your files are secured before they leave your device.

  1. 1

    Create your safe

Choose photos, documents, and instructions on your own device.

  2. 2

    Share directly

The safe is encrypted and sent from device to device.

  3. 3

    Stay in control

Set the timelock, extend it whenever you want, or remotely destroy the safe.

You decide the moment

Share without granting immediate access.

The recipient already has the encrypted safe on their own device, but can only open its contents when your timelock expires.

  • Extend the timelock as often as you want.
  • Stop sharing by remotely destroying the safe.
  • The recipient sees exactly when the safe can open.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know.

Short answers about safes, timelocks, and secure sharing.

What is a SafelyShare safe?

A safe is a secured folder containing photos, documents, and instructions that you share with one recipient.

Are my files stored on SafelyShare servers?

No. Safe files are encrypted on the sender’s device and transferred directly to the recipient’s device. The server stores account and safe metadata, the recipient public key, and the wrapped key the timelock releases — but never the safe files.

When can the recipient open the safe?

The recipient can open the contents when the timelock expires. If you extend the timelock, the safe stays closed.

Can I stop sharing?

Yes. You can remotely destroy a shared safe, keeping you in control of what you have shared.
